The Portugal trip was truly a dream come true for me. I’ve always dreamed of a European babymoon and am so glad that I got to experience it with my husband. So grateful that his residency schedule + travel guidelines worked out for us to make this trip happen!
We had a great quality time together and enjoyed soaking in the Portugal sunshine & never ending views.
We personally chose Portugal for our babymoon because it has one of the highest vaccine rates (88%) in Europe and great weather in October. It’s also one of the most affordable and underrated European countries! However, since I was 16 weeks pregnant, the windy roads & cobblestone paths were tough during pregnancy (lots of nausea and walking).

📍Day 1 & Day 2: Lisbon
Hotel: Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon
On our very first day, we landed in Lisbon at 9am, rented a car. Spent the first day exploring the Peña Palace in Sintra, captured our first maternity photoshoot with @shootme.lisboa at Carlos Lopes Pavillion & caught the sunset in our @fslisbon balcony ✨

Day 2: Part 1
On the second day, we went to the highly recommended Pink Street! It was underwhelming when we arrived but we got some of the best pictures here! We explored the area around the pink street, it was beautiful and every corner was picturesque.

Day 2: Part 2
On the second day, we also did a 4 hours tuk-tuk tour of Lisbon so that we don’t miss anything. We saw all the main spots and before leaving we caught the most beautiful sunset at Mirador de la Señora del Monte. It was a perfect day, we also visited the Belém Tower.

This beautiful maternity photoshoot was shot by @shootme.lisboa in Lisbon.
After leaving Lisbon, we drove 30 min for a quick 2-hours pit stop in the beautiful Cascais, Portugal

📍Day 3 – 5: Porto
Hotel: Torel Avantgarde

Absolutely loved exploring the historical, colorful city & chasing the sunset on the bridge in Porto. We also did a 1-hour tuk-tuk city tour (25 euros each) of Porto and enjoyed learning about its history.
Lunch Spot: @digby_restaurantebar

We loved and enjoyed our time in the magical city of Porto, Portugal. And we did a photo tour of the beautiful city with @mademoiselle.fotografia 📸

📍Day 6: Azores
Hotel: Azoris Hotels & Leisure

Azores is known as the “Hawai of Europe” because of its vibrantly-coloured blue green lakes. The view of the Azores from our hotel balcony was breathtaking.
My favorite travel hack: I love packing 2 outfits for every day of vacay!

As someone who loves documenting & capturing all the moments when exploring a new place, I noticed I would get way too many pictures in the same outfit and it just felt so redundant (especially for the photobook I make after every trip). I recently started packing 2 outfits for each day and it’s amazing how big of a difference it makes!
– I find time to change during a midday Hotel break or after the beach or before dinner (whatever works with our schedule that day).
– It high key extends our trip and makes it feel like we went twice as long because of the variety of pictures/outfits
– My hair & makeup is usually already done for the day so it takes less than a minute to change.
