5 Prep Hacks!

  1. Create baby registries to receive free sample bags — Babylist, Target, Buy Buy Baby, and Amazon
  2. Buy small diapers packs from multiple companies to see what works best for your baby / leaking / sensitivity (I highly recommend fragrance-free diapers)
  3. Fed is best — no matter your feeding decision, try having a little bit of everything prepared (formula, pumps, breastfeeding pillow, freezer bags, bottles, haakaa/elvie catch, etc.)
  4. You can get breast pumps through your insurance, call or have your provider call — you’ll also receive formula and can talk to a lactation consultant after delivery (highly recommended to watch YouTube videos, consult a LC, start taking fenugreek supplements & keep the nipples moisturized during third trimester if planning to breastfeed)
  5. Plan ahead, trust your gut and stay flexible — don’t get attached to a certain method but definitely have preferences and do your research. Also, make sure to set up the help you’ll need during fourth trimester before you deliver (family visiting, freezer meals, housekeeping, etc.) and create clear boundaries with visitors. Each baby and each mom is different, trust YOUR journey!!!
